The Valar

Once finding the holy grail, the player ascends to the position of valar. A player will remain valar until another worthy Council member finds the grail, or until the valarship is either revoked after losing all 5 lives, or server crash (if server crash it will be restored by a wizard).

Valars used to be practically immortal, but are actually given five lives. If these are used up, the player is left to die, and becomes an ex-valar. An ex-valar has the same abilities as members of the council of the wise, but has a harder Morgoth to face. Valar also cannot be helped by Priests.

Valars are given command options that can be used any time but they cost 25% of their maximum mana. They are:

Without Wand

- This acts like a king's curse, but is incredibly powerful. It reduces a player's energy to exactly 1, blinds,
knocks off a cloak, gives an amazing amount of poison and removes a blessing.

- Slapped players are knocked off their coordinates, off the chat channel and sometimes off the game.

- Any character this is cast upon will receive a blessing. But, this is not something to be taken lightly,
however, as it costs one of the mighty valar's lives to grant.

- The target character permanently loses stats and equipment, like they would from a natural degenerate.

- This will heal a character and cure him/her of all ailments, such as blind.

- The next message which is sent by the valar will be heard in all the chat channels.

With Wand
Gem Zap

- This changes all the targets gems into single gold pieces.

- Allows the valar to relocate an individual to specific coordinates within the realm. This ability will not
transport someone into the area beyond the "point of no return" but can affect characters which are already
there as you can move them around in PONR or Edge but you cannot bring them back.
- Any character this is cast upon will be transported to the Point of No Return.

- Summons one of the many monsters to attack a character.
